LOW ENERGY CONSUMPTION BUILDINGS

The combination of the principles of bioclimatic design with energy saving technologies and renewable energy sources can dramatically reduce the operating cost of a residence.

The newly constructed buildings are classified into energy classes depending on the kilowatt hours per square meter consumed annually (KWh/m²/year) for heating, cooling and domestic use hot water for each climate zone with minimum acceptable class "B". For example, the cost of a residence area of 120sqm for heating, cooling, and domestic hot water production in the climate zone B (Athens), which is classified as "B +" amounts to 540 Euro per year.

Enefsys has standardized three residential types of low-energy consumption {B, B+, and A+} depending on the budget disposed by the customer. Their energy characteristics and operating costs follow.
